Hi Ina, I have a Samuel Sherwood in my line who would have been born aproximately the same time as your Samuel Sherwood who was born in 1768. All I know is that mine was born in CT and moved to NY. He was listed in Otisco, Onondaga Co. NY in both the 1820 and 1830 census. He had a daughter Catharine b. 1803 who m. Lyman Johnson. Is there a possibility that these two Samuels are the same?
