He was born in Oxford Township, Delaware County, Ohio on 30 January 1892. He married my Grandmother, Mary Saul Sherwood on 20 April 1913. They had one son, Leon Saul Sherwood, born 03 December 1916. Hoy and Mary later divorced and Hoy moved to Missouri. When he died on 31 August 1933, his body was returned to Delaware County for Burial. He is buried beside his Mother and Father in the Marlboro Baptist Churchyard where his Grandfather was Pastor. Marlboro Church is on Horshoe Road, near the Village of Ashley, Delaware County, Ohio.
