It's been some time since I posted my research interests: I am looking for descendants, cousins, nephews, nieces of John Braden Sherwood and Mary Ray Sherwood, his wife. John and Mary are buried in Davis Chapel Cemetery in Platte County, MO, and were parents to an enormous brood of children. I am descended from their daughter, Elizabeth, married to Benjamin Reeves Lowry on March 21, 1867. To help place this family, here is their information very briefly: John Braden Sherwood (1821-1896) is the son of Joseph Sherwood and Rebecca Margery Braden. John was born in Ohio. Mary Ray (1827-1872) is the daughter of John Ray and Elizabeth Coble. Mary was born in Orange County, North Carolina. John and Mary were parents to the following children: 1. John Wesley Sherwood, b. January 6, 1849. Married Nannie Pierce. 2. Elizabeth Margery Sherwood, b. August 27, 1850, died January 1, 1927. Married Benjamin Reeves Lowry (1842-1913) 3. Lucinda Catherine Sherwood, maried Jeremiah Cawley 4. Mary Sherwood 5. Letitia Sherwood, married George W. Johnson 6. Susan Sherwood 7. Rebecca Sherwood 8. Lucretia Sherwood 9. George Sherwood, married M.L. Baldwin 10. James Sherwood 11. Albert Sherwood 12. Joseph Sherwood, married Martha A.F.
