Here is what I know My great great Grandmother, is Ida Mae Sherwood, her nickname was(dutch) her mother was an african American Woman also from Texas (galveston) her name was (Jenny Mcpeters). Now here is what has been told to me. Great Great Great Grandpa sherwood, was a white sailor from Holland he was in or around galveston texas in the late 1800's.
