Hi Donna, It's scant information, but hopefully will be of some help: Medad was apparently a son of Jedediah "Dyer" Sherwood and Johannah PARSONS (dau. of Aaron Parsons), and lived in the area of Bennington, VT. Medad's siblings were: Clara, Lemuel, Samuel, Zalmon, Obadiah, Jonathan and Aaron. Medad seems to have been the youngest of the bunch. I have Jedediah as b. 1763, Stratfield, Fairfield Co, CT; d. 24 APR 1853, Fairfield, VT; and Johannah b. 1764, Bennington, VT; d. 22 MAY 1833, Fairfield, VT; buried North Fairfield, VT. Jedediah was a son of Samuel SHERWOOD (Quartermaster in the Revolutionary War), and Ruth SHERWOOD. Ruth was Samuel's first cousin once removed (i.e. she was the daughter of Samuel's cousin John). Can I trouble you to share whatever information you may have on Medad and his family?
