Martin CLOCK ( "Registration of Births, Marriages and Deaths of Stamford Families,"compiled by Rev. Elijah B. Huntington, Stamford, April 6, 1797.) Children: Hette, Hiram, Samuel and Rebecca. Tamsen died (date unknown) at Trumansburg, Tompkins Co, NY. I don't have proof, but she is probably a daughter of Jonathan SHERWOOD and Phebe KNAPP. Jonathan, b. 4 MAR 1738, Stamford, Fairfield Co, CT; d. 23 MAY 1823; buried Woodbury, Fairfield Co, CT. Phebe, b. 19 JUN 1743, Stamford, Fairfield Co, CT; d. Woodbury, CT (Nicholas Knapp Genealogy (1953), by (Dr) A.A. Knapp, :32.) Tamsen's siblings (if this is her family) were: Nathan, Ebenezer Knapp, William, Warren G., Ann, Mary, Betsey, Preston and Esther. Some of the siblings moved to upstate NY, Ohio, and Ontario. This line of Sherwoods is descended from Thomas the Immigrant (1585-1655) through Thomas' son Matthew. Kind Regards, Geoff
