Hello to all, and especially to Geof Sherwood, Your post re the Sherwoods of Roxbury, Delaware Co, NY was most interesting, as usual Geof. I usually save your posts for a period of time to analyze and compare them with other posts. My own special interest is this: My fraternal grandfather was John Sherwood, born 1833 in KY, who never revealed to his 5 children anything of mother, father or siblings other than that his father was born in Germany, and his mother in Pennsylvania. This information actually came only through census records. The German connection eludes me. He (John Sherwood) married Nancy Barker in 1864 in Logan Co, IL, moving to central Texas in abt. 1880 with her and three children. How I'd appreciate any information on John's father (unnamed by the way) or mother. I'm the next-to-last of John and Nancy's grandchildren still living. Regards to all, Lee Sherwood
