Ann Burr, Samuel, Matthew, Thomas S., Esdras?) and Molly Fanton. This Joseph had the following siblings: Ozias, Amos, Thomas, Minor, Charity, Polly, Bradford, Hanford, Isaac, Ann, and Fanton. Also half-siblings: Cate and Jacob Levit by Amos' prior and short marriage to Cate Levit. Any hints of a connection? I descend from Thomas S. through Isaac so this isn't my line.

    3. Hi! I am interested in information about John Sherwood, born 25 Sept. 1773 in Cornwall, Litchfield County, Connecticut. He was the son of Ebenezer Sherwood and Hannah Bradford. Does anyone know where John Sherwood died, and when? Did he leave a will? Or an obituary? Also, I am in need of information on Ann Sherwood born 1 June 1805 in Cumberland, Sullivan County, New York. She was the daughter of John Sherwood as above and Esther Babcock. I think that Ann may have died in 1885 in Franklin County, Ohio, but I am not sure. Does anyone know where Ann died for sure? I still can not find a connection to any Sherwood before my grandfather. Crawford Daniel Sherwood was born Mar 4, 1870 in Jefferson, Texas. His family moved back to Ark when he was still a child. I have not been able to locate any documentation for his birth. He married my grandmother in Clark Co. abt. 1900. Her name was Rose Etta Crow. She was born on Mar 8, 1885 in DeRoach, Ark. They lived in Friendship, Midway, and Malvern, Ark He died on Nov 25, 1932. She died Apr. 20, 1951 in Malvern. They had 4 children: Chester Carroll, Alleene, J D, and James Edward. All have since died. PLEASE SEE IF ANY OF YOUR FAMILIES HAVE CRAWFORD DANIEL SHERWOOD AS A RELATIVE. (I'm sure he was not a "miracle baby!) Pat

Dad strung lines in the rural areas around central and southeast Ark. Their mother was Rose Etta Crow Sherwood. She had a boarding house in Malvern. Alason and Dolly were in western New York by 1820 and moved to Pontiac, MI by 1850. By 1860 they had moved Northwest of Pontiac to Brandon Township where they both died. Dolly and members of three succeeding generations are all buried in Lake Seymour Cemetery in that location. Alanson is most probably buried there also. Based on what you said in your post, I doubt that this Alanson is the same Alanson as yours. I've puzzled often over his given name, because it is so unusual. Perhaps, we should get in touch and compare notes as my Alanson may have been named after yours or they both may have been named for the same ancestor.

    3. Looking for information about Sarah Jane Sherwood. She married Ezekiel Rhoads in 1850 in Elmira, New York. She was born in 1826 in Schenectady, New York and she died in 1908 in Denison, Texas. The Sherwood family came to New York from England. They were well to do people and eventually owned quite a lot of land in the heart of New York City.     3. Seeking info on Seymour Sherwood b May 10, 1766, m. Ruth Olivett. Ch: Phoebe b. Jan 1, 1807 d.Nov 23, 1853. Isaac b.June 23, 1809, Mary b April 5, 1813 and Sarah b. Mar 15, 1816. also info on his father Seymour Sherwood m. Ruth Lockwood. Who were his children? And who were the parents of Ruth Olivett? I have no info on her. Isaac Sherwood was my gggrandfather. He married Lavinia Loveland of VT, they were from NY and moved the family to Crawford Co., WI. His sister Mary Sherwood Clayton came with them and settled in upper WI and married a Humes. Sarah Sherwood was found living in Saline, MI married Foster St John. She died in Ypsilanti, MI date unknown. Any information on this family would be appreciated. Thank you, Marilyn Sherwood Collier
