    1. Mathias Beaver, Virginia
    2. Pat Vorenberg
    3. M Archer - I am a Bieber/Beaver descendant. My emigrant ancestor was Johannes Bieber b. ca. 1695 in Hirschland Germany who died 3 Oct. 1748 in Berks Co, Maxatawny Twp, PA. His son Conrad was born ca 1738 in Berks Co. PA and died before 1783 in Luray VA. Conrad married Mary Kneissley ca 1755. Conrad and Mary's daughter Mary Beaver married Abraham Mauck 18 Sep 1787 at Woodstock VA by Rev. John Koontz-Primitive Baptist Minister. Most of my Beaver information came from The History And Genealogy of the BIEBER-BEAVER FAMILY by Rev. I. M. Beaver copyright 1939. I found Mathias Beaver of Virginia in the book. On page 941 he says: "Mathias Beaver was the great-grandfather of Mrs. O. C. Roth, 1709 E Weber Road, Columbus, O. She says Mathias Beaver was born in Germany and came to Virginia as a young man, married a woman by the name of Mary ___. From Harry A. Beaver, a grandson living at Groveport, O (1938) we learn that Mathias Beaver married a German girl by the name of Coffman. In our genealogical notes on the Beaver family in Virginia, page 648, we learn that Mathias was the head of a family and that Mary Beaver, wife of Mathias, was received for baptism, etc., etc. Sept. 17, 1814, and that Mathias Beaver owned 386 acres of land in Virginia; and since other members of the Beaver family married into the Coffman family of Virginia, the compiler is of the opinion that the above Mathias Beaver married Mary Coffman in Virginia. That he resided in Virginia for some years and later moved to Illinois, where he and his wife died. Issue 7 children, viz. Benjamin, Reuben, Nancy, Harriet, Sarah, Katie and Lena Beaver." The children's names and dates don't match yours. Briefly they are: Benjamin Beaver b 11 Jan 1815 in Rockingham Co., Va. d 19 July 1903 m 22 Sep 1844 to Hannah Koch of Adelphi O. - 9 children Reuben E. Beaver b ? d? aged 32 years. His son Harry A. Beaver claims Mathias came home from Civil War and only lived a short time after Nancy Beaver m. Klar. She raised her family in Illinois Harriet Beaver m. Holt. Lived in Illinois Sarah Beaver m. Yontis. Lived in Illinois Katie Beaver m Pontius, lived in Pickaway Co., O. Lena Beaver - no record. On page 648 I. M. Beaver mentions: [Heads of families in 1785 of territory centering around the site of Luray, Va. - by Edwin Young] ... "(From a list of Muster Fines in the 58th Regt. of Militia in Rockingham Co. Va. for the year 1816) Mathias Beaver Michael Beaver "Abstract of Church Records, Brook's Gap: 'Mary Beaver, wife of Mathias, was received for baptism appointed com - at the union meeting to be holden at our meeting house the last Saturday and Sunday in next month October (Sept. 17, 1814) and our next business meeting to be held at said Matthias Beaver's homeon Linville Creek" "Landowners in the year 1789 List - by Reuben Moore, Commissioner 8th Dist. Matthias Beaver, 386 acres" Hope it ties in with your search somehow.
