Can anyone tell me anything about a place called "THE FOREST"? 107 acre tract that was sold to David Caldwell in September 1812 was still owned by Caldwell in 1819 and is located in what was known as "The Forest". The Forest is in the vicinity of North Mountain where it joins with Rockingham, Shenandoah and Hardy Counties. Thanks, Joanne HALTERMAN
