Researchers, My husband and I will be making a trip to Virginia later this month to try to collect data on the LONG family and the RUEBUSH family. ADAM LONG and MARGARET RUEBUSH were married 1788 in Rockingham Co. In 1792 they moved to Augusta Co. Margaret died in 1843; Adam in 1854. Both are buried in Frieden's cemetery in Rockingham Co. Their son ELI LONG died abt. 1881. He and two of his sons (killed in the Civil War) are buried in Melanchton Cemetery. I have never been able to find out who ADAM LONG's parents were. Here's the question: If you were going to make the trip to Virginia, where would you look for information about these "befogged" and "beclouded" ancestoral records? I know to go to the Frieden's Church, but where from there? Thanks, Virginia Hutson vhutson
