    1. Visit to Virginia
    2. James Wm. Wallace
    3. Just returned from Augusta County Virginia and wish to share some of my adventure. We stayed just outside of Staunton on Hwy. 250 off I-81 at the Sleep Inn Hotel. It just opened in January and was very nice. Rates were $58.00 plus tax. Across the Hwy. was a great restaurant named "Mrs. Rowe's." I had the best of dinning there and I highly recommend this Inn which is family owned and operated for the last fifty years. Great atmosphere and fine southern cooking.(Good collard greens and biscuits.) We visited the Staunton Court House and Library with minor success. Visited the Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church in Fishersville where my ggg grandparents were married in 1796. Found the home of my gggg granduncle Zechariah Johnston built in 1730 near Barren Ridge and the home he built in Lexington in 1797. We visited Zechariah's grave site in The Stonewall Jackson Cemetery in Lexington and also the grave site of Andrew Wallace and his wife Jane Blair. Will share pictures that we took of the above with those of a personal concern. Just around the corner where we stayed is a "Frontier Culture Museum" of four living and working farms staffed to answer all questions. One farm house was a Scotch/Irish thatched roof building from Ulster rebuilt on location. The others were German, English, and American. Truly a must if you are in the area. Researching Andrew WALLACE and his wife Margaret WALLACE nee CALBREATH. Still looking for the parents of Andrew. James Wm. Wallace
