    1. WALLACE, CLAYTON, PRICE, & others of Virginia
    2. Cynthia Claytonroberts
    3. In my Culpeper, Virginia, CLAYTON line, I have a Dr. James Brown WALLACE 1792-1860 who married Sarah Ann Edwards CLAYTON, daughter of Philip CLAYTON. The family names of most of the property owners in the Will below, have been neighbors of the CLAYTONS in Culpeper for at least three generations. At some point in that timespan, children of these families married eachother. Familiar to anyone? Before my direct CLAYTON ancestor line moved to Kentucky, in the person of Sam'l CLAYTON, Jun'r, he married Cathrine PRICE, daughter of William PRICE in Shenandoah County, VA. This information was found in on p. 10 of SHENANDOAH COUNTY VIRGINIA MARRIAGE BONDS 1772-1850 by Bernice M. Ashby. Pub. by Virginia Book Company, Berryville, VA 1967 Clayton, Saml., Jr. ---Price, Cathrine. Dau. of Wm. May 24, 1786. I have no more knowledge of the PRICE family of Shenandoah County, VA, and sure would be interested in finding a connection here. The WALLACE mentioned is the son-in-law of my Sam'l's brother so I have not followed that line, just offering data I have on hand.
