I've been reading the "Scotch/Irish" by James G. Leyburn and "The Lexington Presbytery Heritage" by Howard McKnight Wilson and they continue to make geographical references that confuse me. I have spent my entire life living in Michigan and I am unfamiliar with the following terms: 1. Tidewaters 2. Headwaters 3. Carolina Piedmont I only need a simple explanation if possible please.
