    3. Helen, If you do recall the name of the book that described the travels of persons migrating from the Holstein River area to Nashville, I would be very interested. My Laughlin Family may have taken that route. I know from the Dairy of Samuel Hervey Laughlin that he rode by horseback as a young man, but I believe that those taking the families and goods would have taken another route - probably the rivers.
