    3. Debbie, Thank you for the observation about the North Fork. Thats likely the basis for confusion about Norfolk. My Philip Fine was a brother of my direct ancestor, Vinett Fine. They were sons of Thomas Fine. They are on the Dunmore County Militia rolls. Philip Fine moved to St.Louis, Mo, in 1781 and died there in 1824. He married twice in St Louis. I have also seen reports that Catherine Parrott married Philip Peter Fine in Shenandoah County. My research suggests that Catherine Parrott married Philip Peter Fent/Fant. This Philip Fent/Fant was also a Revolutionary War veteran. He and Catherine moved to east Tennessee (as did most of the Fines) and I believe there is a Parrett Valley there named for them. They moved on to Ohio where Philip and Catherine were buried. Other than that, I've done no research on the Parrott family Glen ----- Original Message ----- From: "Deborah Brown" <dmsbrown1953@yahoo.com> To: "Glen Fine" <gefine@comcast.net> Sent: Saturday, March 11, 2006 7:34 PM Subject: Re: Place Name Norfolk in Shenandoah? > Glen -- > I think that the person who submitted the DAR > application or perhaps the transcriber misread the > original source.
