I'm getting back to my genealogy & have a chance to be in VA briefly at the end of the month. I decided I'd like to find the land area my ancestor owned in the late 1700's. My records show Gabriel SAGER bought from Jacob FREED 150 acres on Elk Run being a branch of Stoney Creek, Shenandoah Co VA. However when I Google those names they don't seem to be in Shenandoah Co at all. Also there appears to be a town of Elk Run & also a town called Stoney Creek so I'm not sure where I should look for this land. My other VA ancestors HOTTELS & HAMMONS, I've already found & have previously visited the HOTTEL homestead in Shenandoah Co. Since my SAGER family married into the HAMMON family before moving on to Ohio, I'm guessing the land on Elk Run shouldn't be too far from Tom's Brook, VA Can someone more familiar with the areas geography point me in the right direction Thanks Linda Myers Phoenix AZ

I know there were Sangers in Rockingham County, Virginia and would be very surprised if they weren't in Shenandoah County as well. Walt
