My Shenandoah County ancestors are Peter Scheuerman and his wife Rosina. Their son Barnet Shireman married Catherine Fultz. They were the parents of Emanuel Shireman and his wife Martha Ellen (Last name unknown). I am searching for a Martha Ellen born c 1800 near Stony Creek. In 1829, Emanuel and Martha Ellen were admitted to the poorhouse. At that time they were "of Stony Creek" The last poorhouse record I have found for them was in 1833. Emanuel must have died there, because in 1839, Martha Ellen remarried to Aaron Poland. Henry Bauserman was the bondsman. My husband's ancestors were Michael Romick and Rachel Gochenour, also from Shenandoah County. If anyone has information on these families, I would like to correspond with you. Linda
