William LaHue is listed on the tax records of Frederick County in 1790. We are also trying to find out William's wife's name. If any of these people ring a bell please let me know. I think Fetheringale might actually be Feathergill, but that' s just a guess right now. and Gary has nothing on Rebecca's husband, Mr. Lesling.... One of Mary Kegley's books. William LEHEW signed his will with an X on November 22, 1811, and the will was probated on February 11, 1812 (Wythe County Will Book 2, p 20). He names his eldest daughter (no first name, the widow of William FETHERINGALE); his second daughter, Rebecca LESLING (or LESTING); eldest son, William; daughter Winny HURST; son John; daughter Rachel, wife of John CRAIG: daughter Lear [Leah?] DAVIS; and daughter Elizabeth SMYTH, all of whom were to receive $1 from the estate. His two sons, Spencer and Cornelius, were to have the tract of land William lived on and sons John and Isaac were each to have $70. Daughter Nancy LEHEW and niece Polly were to have the personal property. Spencer and Cornelius LEHEW were to be the executors of the will. The appraisal and sale were recorded in 1812 (Wythe County Will Book 2, p 27-28). Gary - who is of this line and has been researching it for at least a decade has this webpage. http://www.geocities.com/watsgw1155/lahue/aqwg03.htm#4380 thanks for your time!
