    1. [SHENANDOAH] Immigrant Servants Database, - trip report

    3. Hello, this is kind of a trip report. A few weeks ago, someone posted a new site Immigrant Servants Database, http://www.immigrantservants.com/, and it was nicely done. I actually paid for 2 people, just the $25 version lookup. The gentleman was really nice and easy to work with. I am looking for Lehew’s. We know a lot about Nicholas but this book “Records of Indentured Servants and of Certificates for Land Northumberland County , VA 1650-1795" by Preston Haynie – which I own, lol – it had a Peter Lehoot – relative? Brother? Hey – for $25 I’ll see what they can find out and not spend too much energy on it. I got the results within a few days and it included the 1M file of the page that his name was on. Here is what they came up with. Lehoot Peter Virginia 1662 1671 View http://immigrantservants.com/servant/show/681 I like that they put it up for everyone else to see! And I like that they put my hotmail address on the bottom so maybe someone else has more info… Then I paid for Nicholas – whom we have quite a bit of info on – and got the 1M file also. He also went out and found Ron Warta’s website (family researcher, updating the 1967 book) and did a cut and paste on that – Here is what it looks like - LeHugh Nicholas Virginia 1656 1670 View http://immigrantservants.com/servant/show/649 - I kinda didn’t like that he did that – I was just looking for data and I’d already talked to Ron, and Ron let me know that he was bugging him a little. On the otherhand, He put Ron’s website with Nicholas so anyone looking for Lehew info can contact him and maybe some lines will be filled in. I then sent him 2 entries from the Preston Haynie book where Nicholas was the Master and he added that. So overall, yes, I’d do it again Julie in CA --------------------------------- Everyone is raving about the all-new Yahoo! Mail beta.
