Hi, New on the list. Just found out that the person I am looking for came from Shenandoah area. His name was JOHN HUTCHISON, born abt. 1740. Would like to hear from those that might know anything about HUTCHISON. Thanks Mike
My Lucy Golson married James Stepp in Va, early 1700's. She & James moved to KY, and there was a large family of them living there....can't remember the county (Lucy was a collateral....sister to my William Golson). I think if Janet looked at the LDS site, familysearch.com, she might find something there. I'm finding land purchases in both 1818 and 1829 made using pounds in one and dollars in a second. Does anyone know when the currency of VA changed from pounds to dollars? What were the exchange rates for pounds? Thanks,Ruth
