    3. I live in Utah and the Gen Society of Utah in Salt Lake City is run by the Mormon Church. Ancestry.com is NOT owned or run by the church but by private individuals in Provo, Utah. I go to the Family History Center in Salt Lake City all the time, and I stay away from Ancestry. They ARE NOT CONNECTED. Ancestry may have some of the same things offered, but they pay for the privilege to use them and charge other people to use their stuff. I do not like it that if I post my info on Ancestry's site people have to pay to see it and Ancestry pockets the money, but they are a business. The Mormon Church does not charge, except postage to mail films out to people or to have copies made. 1. [SHENANDOAH] Fetheringale, Lesling, Hurst, Craig, Davis, Smyth
    2. Julie
    3. William LaHue is listed on the tax records of Frederick County in 1790. We are also trying to find out William's wife's name. If any of these people ring a bell please let me know. I think Fetheringale might actually be Feathergill, but that' s just a guess right now. and Gary has nothing on Rebecca's husband, Mr. Lesling.... One of Mary Kegley's books. William LEHEW signed his will with an X on November 22, 1811, and the will was probated on February 11, 1812 (Wythe County Will Book 2, p 20). He names his eldest daughter (no first name, the widow of William FETHERINGALE); his second daughter, Rebecca LESLING (or LESTING); eldest son, William; daughter Winny HURST; son John; daughter Rachel, wife of John CRAIG: daughter Lear [Leah?] DAVIS; and daughter Elizabeth SMYTH, all of whom were to receive $1 from the estate. His two sons, Spencer and Cornelius, were to have the tract of land William lived on and sons John and Isaac were each to have $70. Daughter Nancy LEHEW and niece Polly were to have the personal property. Spencer and Cornelius LEHEW were to be the executors of the will. The appraisal and sale were recorded in 1812 (Wythe County Will Book 2, p 27-28). Gary - who is of this line and has been researching it for at least a decade has this webpage. http://www.geocities.com/watsgw1155/lahue/aqwg03.htm#4380 thanks for your time! 3. Robin: Thanks for the information on Daniel Trout. You are very kind to do these look ups. As to Karen: Not sure where the Trouts actually hailed from, if around Ronake or not. I know they were in Shenandoah Co. Va, some having been born there and later they move to Kentucky where Nancy Trout daughter of Jeremiah Trout marries my gggrandfather Charles Bain. I am still trying to find out more about their Virginia years. Thanks again for the help.
