He is first in the census of 1860 single. 1870 he was married to Alice Bolton born in Ireland. They had a son, Henry Shelton. Henry was born March 12, 1861 in NY City. I am trying to find the ship he came to America on and where he came from in Germany. HELP! I am stuck in my search.
