One of his sons, Woodlief Thomas(1834-1902) was my gg-grandfather. I have researched quite a bit on Shepard and Rosina Chapman Shelton but have not heard if any of these Shelton researchers have participated in the DNA study. (My brother and I do not have the Shelton last name) I do believe the parents of Shepard to be William (of VA) and Martisha Taylor Shelton. I have no definite information as to his siblings other than his brother, Woodlief (1785/87) who married Sarah Moore. Woodlief Thomas and Shepard traveled to Jackson Co. AL from NC. Woodlief Thomas was my relative. He married Elizabeth Young and they had 8 children. When she died, he re-married Amanda Easterly and they had 3 boys.
