That would be Woodlief traveled with his brother, Shepard, to Jackson Co. AL from Lincoln County, TN. (not Woodlief Thomas) Woodlief is an unusual name but we have the 3 Woodliefs. Woodlief, brother of Shepard, Woodlief Thomas, the son of Shepard and then there's a son of Woodlief Thomas who is named Woodlief Shepard Shelton. This 3rd Woodlief was born in 1862 in Bellefonte, AL. He died in Chattanooga TN (1935) where my parents and I lived. My Dad called this Woodlief, Uncle Shep, and my Dad loved him a lot.
