Thanks for the confirmation on Flavious Josephus line. It is one more clue that the Sheltons in Perry County are interrelated. However, it doesn't clarify those families where paper trails have disappeared. This does take me back on your line to Thomas, who is brother to Charles and Mark Chilton of Pittsylvania and so an indication that your line is Chilton originally. It confirms that descendants of Thomas Chilton, along with those of brothers, Mark and Charles. and other interrelated families have migrated to the same general middle Tennessee area. If you have any other information on descendants of Thomas, esecially Bennett, that you are willing to share, I would appreciate it.
