There was an Abraham, John and Joseph Davidson in that Pittsylvania Co., VA family, apparently, and there is no known connection whatsoever between them and the one in Amelia/PECo. I suspect that it was the John Davidson in the Pittsylvania Co., VA Davidson family who married Rachel Shelton/Chilton there in 1786. I also suspect that this Rachel was the daughter of Mark Shelton, and hence, the Rachel Davidson mentioned in Mark Shelton's will. Abraham and John (and maybe Joseph, as well) were also in TN. Do you think that your Levi Davidson was a member of the above Pittsylvania Co., VA/TN Davidson family, or do you believe that he was from yet a third Davidson family?
