I see that my friend Hollis Davison also posted there. From my brief review, it appears that the Davison family out of Middlesex Co., VA (1600s), Spotsylvania Co., VA (about 1720s to 1740s), and then Amelia/Prince Edward Co., VA (1740s and beyond) was a different family then your Levi, Alvoree , Josiah, etc. Davidson family, correct? I know that some members of both families ended-up in MO, but that was apparently just a coincidence The Amelia/PECo Davison family had a Joshua Davison, and they were associated with an Owen, McDearmonroe and Brackett family, among several others. The known "patriarch" of that family was John Davison (b. abt. 1693-d.1754). John's wife was Ann Son/Soanes. Have you determined the parents of Levi Davidson yet? Do you know how/if Joel Shelton who married Mary Davidson was related to the Mark Shelton family in Pittsylvania Co., VA? I think you posted that Mary Davidson was a sister of Josiah Davidson, Senior. Does that mean that both were children of Levi Davidson (and siblings of Alvoree Davidson)? Thanks!
