I am interested in a Daniel Shelton who came from some other location into Mecklenburg County in 1804. As you know, Mecklenburg County was cut out of the territory of Lancaster County in 1765 and Lancaster County was taken from the territory of Brunswick County in 1745. In light is this geographic history, I wonder if the Daniel of mecklenburg might be a kinsman of the Daniel you mention who was in Brunswick County. Thank you.
