Phillips. Robert Casey has posted a family genealogy on this Shelton family. If you google Robert Casey of Austin, Texas it will probably pull up his information. Your ancestor John Shelton and my ancestor Joseph Shelton were in the same general area of Virginia, in the early 1800's. I would appreciate knowing the name of a living male Shelton in this family who is willing to do a DNA Test in the Shelton DNA project. I would be willing to pay for the test. I am trying to determine if my Shelton ancestor is connected to your Shelton ancestor. My Shelton family DNA is proven to descend from the Ralph Shelton, born between 1680-1685 in England, and was in 1702 Essex Co., Middlesex Co., Virginia.
