Hello Cousin! William Shelton's father is John Shelton, my brick wall. All I can tell you is that he was born in Jackson County, VA between 1780-1790, and Married Catherine Messer Shelton September 15, 1805. He died July 27, 1840 in Jackson County, Al. They had 10 children: Nathaniel Shelton- 9/15/1806, va Martin Shelton- 10/31/1807, TN Sabra Shelton- 1/9/1809, TN John Shelton, Jr- 7/31/1810, VA William Shelton- 12/27/1811, VA Catherine Shelton- 10/16/1813. VA Noah Shelton- 1/28/1815, VA Saly Shelton- 12/2/1817, VA Elizabeth Shelton- 9/8/1819, VA Crissey Shelton- 5/16/1821, Scott County, VA My relation is from William, too, he married Martha Pace about 1835 and died 2/7/1864.
