I went to the Jacksonville, GA site and took a look at the pictures. They were really great. The Sheltons shown on the site are from the line of Ralph of Middlesex. Charles Irby Shelton (b. Nov. 16, 1787, Pittsylvania Co., VA; d. July 19, 1871, Jacksonville, Telfair Co., GA) was the son of Crispen Shelton (b. Feb. 28, 1761; d. after 1805) and Susannah Irby. Crispen was the son of Abraham Shelton (b. ca 1737, VA; d. 1789, VA) and Chloe Robertson (b. ca 1739, Amelia Co., VA) and grandson of Crispen Shelton (b. Apr. 1, 1713, Middlesex Co., VA; d. Oct. 29, 1794, Pittsylvania Co., VA) and his wife Lettice Unknown. I am also descended from Crispen & Lettice through their son Lewis Shelton. So Charles Irby Shelton would have been a great-nephew of my ancestor, Lewis. Thanks for posting the link---it was very interesting. Happy New Year to all!!!
