He was born Sept. 15, 1908 to the late Carl L. and Effie Wilson Shelton in Batavia, Iowa. He was a member of the order of the Eagles, Oneonta and Garden City, Kan. Bruce was predeceased by his wife, Addie May Glover, Aug. 13, 1989. He is survived by two brothers, Perry Shelton of Trout Creek and Luther Shelton of Sidney Center and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 19, 1998 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St., Sidney at 7:30 p.m. Pastor David Gatje, Trout Creek Community Church will officiate. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Garden City, Kan. Arrangements are under the direction of C.H.
