Shelton (c1785 VA/NC- 1844 Robertson Co, TN) was the son, proven by Y-DNA and court documents, of Micajah Shelton (1742 VA-1824 Simpson Co, KY). Micajah went from VA to Richmond Co, NC circa 1785 and subsequently to Logan Co, KY between 1801-1810. Micajah was the proven and orphaned son of Thomas Shelton (1707 VA-1742 VA) and Mary Probert of Middlesex County, VA. Thomas was the proven son of Ralph Shelton (c1685- 1733, Middlesex Co, VA) and Mary Crispin?. Ralph Shelton arrived in the Virginia Colony in 1702. His origin and parents are as yet unknown.
