He had daughters who married into the Davidson family. Also, I'm trying to find parents of a Joel Shelton who married Mary Davidson in Dickson Co., TN. A descendent of Joel has participated in the DNA testing and is listed in the orange group which indicates a connection to Chilton, rather than Shelton.
