He was born I belive in about 1913- I dont have the exact date. He was not my blood-grandfather, but adopted me and raised me. He used to tell me he was a Oakie from Muskogee and would go on and on about dropping out of the third-grade to work in the fields with his father. He told me he was Cherokee Indian, & he was REALLY tall thin and lanky and had the palest blue eyes you ever saw. IT was only recently I started putting two and two together & realising that he was Cherokee Indian, and really was a Hillbilly ( as he called himself) Oakie from 'Muskogee'! I know he had alot of siblings, but the only one I knew he kept in contact with was "ella' who married a Farmer in either OK or KY. He had only one daughter who last I heard raised horses in KY and I lost touch with her years ago. I know she had four daughters.
