I know the controvesy of the two Ralph's. If you go to this site http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~vapittsy/SheltonGen.html page 5. You will see the date of birth for the Ralph Shelton of King William County on the other side of Dragon Swamp. If they are indeed 15 years apart, this puts Ralph of middlesex birth around 1683.
