George Sparks and Bro. Mike Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Sivley Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mrs. Shelton, who died Monday, Sept. 5, 2005, at her residence, was born Feb. 25, 1915, in Lawrence County to Clyde Christy and Belle Tolbert Christy. She attended Sacred Heart Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, John Christy, Jab Christy and Will Christy; and one sister, Ruth Christy and her husband, Lowell P. Shelton. Survivors include five sons, Lowell D. Shelton and wife, Audrey, Starline Shelton and wife, Joyce, Royce Shelton and wife, Brenda, and Marty Shelton and wife, Connie, all of Lawrence County, and Alfred “Bud” Shelton and wife, Pat, of Russellville; three daughters, Reba Bundrick and husband, Murphy, of Lawrence County, Beulah Coyne and husband, Ed, of Birmingham and Mary Reynolds and husband, Kenneth of Lincoln, Ala.; 11 grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 19 stepgreat-grandchildren.
