I am posting this message with the approval of the list administrator. Joyce Shelton McFarland My grandson is employed with a firm that trains troops for battle in Iraq. . He has a degree in law enforcement. On Tuesday the instructors and all of the troops that were there in Little Rock, AR in training went to New Orleans to help in the rescue. They had full body armor and were armed. On Wednesday they were able to rescue 80+ people and were shot at several times. My grandson said that they returned fire. He is a very kind hearted young man and told his mother he did not know if he hit anyone or not. On Thursday they were able to rescue 63 people and were only shot at 3 times. He was supposed to come home Saturday but this is Sunday and he is not home yet. To those of you who believe in prayer(and I do) when you are saying a prayer for all of the people that have been so damaged by the storm, please add the name of Dennis Dearen for safety to your list.
