Son=James "Buffer" Shelton,Son=George W. Shelton. According to the information that I have Roderick Shelton was the son of Roderick Shelton & Sarah Briggs of Buncombe Co. NC. I have heard of a book developed by Madison Co. NC that has two volumes (title Heritage of Madison Co Vol. I & II). Cynthia, We have corresponded before: George Washington Shelton, son of Roderick and Rachel, was my gr-gr-grandfather. If the Madison County Heritage books are still available, I would really love to own them. Please let me know where they can be found, if you should run across the information.
