According to the book "History of the Shelton Family of England and America" by Mildred Whitaker this Joseph Shelton who died in 1797 was the father of my gr.gr.gr.grandfather Richard Shelton, b.1779 Louisa Co., VA - d.1842 Guilford Co., NC. I would like to locate a copy of the will to determine who Joseph Shelton's wife was and possibly a list of his children. Joseph's second wife was possibly a Winston from Louisa.
