Greetings! Those of you tracking Stephen SHELTON (b. 1809) who (1) married Nancy BROWN & (2) Abigail HARRIS, can now add the exact date of Stephen's death to your records. It is 22 Aug 1855. His funeral and burial were on the following day, 23 Aug 1855, both in Provo, Utah. When we get to the other side, we can thank Bishop Jonathan Oldham DUKE of the Provo First Ward, for recording this information in his journal. You can Google it for yourself by typing in "Jonathan Oldham Duke Autobiography". This little tidbit of being able to add "22" (we already knew Aug 1855) may not seem like a very big deal; but he's always been a favorite ancestor, and thus it was an exciting find for me. Regards!
