    1. Re: [SHELTON] Shelton Family of Tennessee

    3. Hi, this is a very long shot but I could not resist asking. While contacting my grandfather's living cousins a few years back one elderly cousin gave me alot of valuable leads. Most proved to be true and I found "Fits". THere was one confusing clue that I have never made the association with. She said that she was sure that an Oliver was related to us and she thought it was on the THOMPSON side. I tried to fit an Oliver THOMPSON in as James Manuel THOMPONS's father. IT's possible since there is a brief finding of an Oliver in Rabun Co. GA. However, not enough to put him into Fannin/Union Co. and jump to a connection. James Manuel THOMPSON married Sarah Matilda SHELTON abt 1872 . I can not locate her family or any information on her. Sarah born abt 1854-58. Is it possible I searched the wrong family and OLIVER is associated with Sarah? Your Oliver is too young to make a connection to Sarah but perhaps you know of an earlier Oliver in the line ??? thanks so much, Debbie ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, October 22, 2006 9:41 AM Subject: [SHELTON] Shelton Family of Tennessee > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: Shelton / Sanders > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/wNHBAIB/3011 > > Message Board Post: > > I am searching for information on the following family: > In the 1930 Knox Co.
