I am descended from Ralph Shelton of Middlesex Co., VA through his son Crispen, who later settled in Pittsylvania Co., VA. My Sheltons then moved through SC, GA, AL, MS, and AR before finally "coming to light" in Texas. Do you have any idea where your grandmother's family lived? Even a state would be helpful.
