Wade's wife was Elizabeth Rebecca Hiatt, b. 20 Dec 1851 d. 16 Jan 1916. According to her death certificate, Elizabeth's mother was a Sullens. First name is not listed there, but marriage records indicate a Daniel Hiatt married a Rachael Sullens in Franklin Co on 20 Jun 1844. That is helpful, as it is the first time I've seen the name "Lenora" on the census with that family instead of Elizabeth. It has her in the wrong age category, but I think it is still probably her. I also was able to find some confirmation on a recent trip to MO. I talked to a family member who remembered her grandmother Lenora having sisters named Annie and Lillie. They show up as daughters of that same Samuel W Shelton on later censuses. In addition, an SW Shelton is buried in the same cemetery as Lenora Shelton. That I got from the 1850 Federal Census of Franklin Co. I will keep an eye out for anything that I find on him and advise you. (Can you post what you have on Wade Shelton's immediate family? That will help in the search.) I looked up Samuel Wade Shelton and found that in the 1870 Census he is living right next door to Thomas Shelton and to Nathan Richardson(My GGrandfather). Nathan's wife, Elizabeth is Elizabeth Elmira Shelton. So they were all very tight. Samuel W. Shelton's wife is Elizabeth as is his daughter. Do your know parents, grandparents, greats, etc ? My 3rd great grand mother Sarah (Shelton) Fitzhugh was from Kentucky and ended up in Collin Co, Tx along with her sister Nancy (Shelton) Bradley. They both died 1883 in Collin Co, Tx. I've not been able to track back other than their father was Nelson (this was in a Collin Co, Tx pioneer book). Sure would be interested in any information you have on yur Sheltons back as far as you cn go.
