Alfa, I am Geordie Shaw, genealogist for Clan Shaw Society. I have, in my files, a letter from a Ralph W. Shaw of Springfield, Mo. dated November 14, 1985 seeking information about the Mushaws, particularly, David, and a like phone call from Christen Santiago, of Kentucky. This David Shaw apparently changed his name from Mushaw to Shaw. Several years ago, I signed up to membership, two Meshaws from the Cape Fear area of NC, under the assumption that Meshaw was a shortened McShaw, or MacShaw. I would think that the same thinking would hold for Mushaw. To contimue this matter, please E-mail me at [email protected] and visit our website at www.cplx.net/SHAW Best wishes, Geordie Shaw ----- Original Message ----- From: "BILLY COPELAND" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, June 20, 2004 10:32 AM Subject: [SHAW] Shaw? or Mushaw? > Can any one tell me if the Wake Co. N.C. Shaw's are kin to the MUshaw's? My ancestor was David Mushaw, but most of the time was listed as Shaw. David was born N.C. 1777 and finally settled in Allen Co. Ky. Would love to corospond with any one researching this David Mushaw/Shaw. > Alfa > > > ==== SHAW Mailing List ==== > To contact the SHAW List Administrator: > [email protected] >
