Alfa, I am Geordie Shaw, genealogist for Clan Shaw Society. I have, in my files, a letter from a Ralph W. Shaw of Springfield, Mo. dated November 14, 1985 seeking information about the Mushaws, particularly, David, and a like phone call from Christen Santiago, of Kentucky. This David Shaw apparently changed his name from Mushaw to Shaw. Several years ago, I signed up to membership, two Meshaws from the Cape Fear area of NC, under the assumption that Meshaw was a shortened McShaw, or MacShaw. I would think that the same thinking would hold for Mushaw.
