    3. Hello, I have Shaw's from Virginia, to Missouri, to Kansas, and to Oregon in my line. David C. Shaw . Married Mary Jane Miller, had 2 sons Frank and John and two daughters Tempa and Della. Setteled in Condon, Mayville (Gilliam Co. Oregon) area in 1884. Franks daughter Mary is my mother and still alive is 98. Anything familiar? G. Foster

    3. The Encyclopedia of American family Names list Shaw as the 137th most common surnames based on Social Security names. The book which I own is based on the 1984 release of the 1980 census. While it is nice to know that there are a lot of us, it should help us to understand that there are so many whom we cannot find. Good Luck!     3. Congradulations, I hope that soon you'll find his parents and his grandparents.!!! I've been mainly digging for my Stroxtile's and Tinnell's I have to admit . ( Not There is 2 names that's Rare.) All the Stroxtile's that are known today, I"m related to them directly or by marriage!!. But anyway. I wish "thee" success. Nancy S.
