In researching my Shaw family I have come across some interesting information on a John B. Shaw (I do not believe he is my relative). His middle name may be "Bliss". Some of the information I have indicate John B. Shaw made a will in 1863 in Stephentown, Rensselear County. He died May 8, 1865 Granville, Washington County in 1865 and the will was probated in 1868. Some names listed in the will include Laura, is wife, John Bliss of Brooklyn, William Harris Lord of Brooklyn, as executors. Frances Elizabeth Lord Bliss, Eliza Lord Shaw, Laura Catherine Shaw, William Harris Lord as children. And also referes to a John B. Shaw 2nd as a grandson.
