It has led me to researching and expanding my Shaws, which in turn after many hours on the pages of the census has accidently led to finding out that my ancestor Ruth Buttman Shaw, daughter of Nathaniel Shaw and the long sought but never found Pattie Houghs is actually Ruth Bucknam Shaw, daughter of Nathaniel and Martha Hawkes Shaw.
