Family story claims Hanse SHAW( our earliest ancestor ) was a teenage stowaway on a ship which came into N.Carolina ca.late 1600 / early 1700.Son William Hance b. 6Apr1748 then William jr b.22Jun1793 in S Carolina then Solomon Webber b.21 Oct1825 in Kentucky then LeRoy b.23Apr1881 in IL then Louella Lee b.28Dec1911 in IL and me b.5Sept1932 in IL. Do any of these names ring a bell?
